GERMANY has passed and LILITH FAIR is almost here

um, so i’ve been pretty absent from this little blog here. apologies to those who follow me or maybe a “you’re welcome” is in order??? either way, i’m back. and i’ve got a few things to say.

1. i went to GERMANY. it was amazing and crazy and beautiful and chilly and the beer was yummy and i made some lovely new friends (you know who you are) and i stayed in some amazing places and got to sing for some wonderful people. some people were quiet and attentive and some were not so quiet and attentive (but i let them know it). all and all, it was an amazing trip and i can’t wait to go back.

2. i’m playing LILITH FAIR this saturday!!!! i remember going to the del mar fair when i was in high school to see sarah mclachlan play for the first ever lilith fair tour. it was an amazing show and i never imagined that i would be sharing the stage with her some day. this is a big day for me as a female musician. i will be playing amongst a gaggle (can i use that word here?) of lady musicians and will be ending the night on stage with all of them for a finale song.

if you live close to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine and are around this Saturday July 10, then come on out!!! here’s the info:

Verizon Wireless Amphitheater
8808 Irvine Center Drive
Irvine, CA 92618, USA
Also playing: Emmylou Harris, Sarah McLachlan, Miranda Lambert, Jes Hudak, Brandi Carlile, Marina and the Diamonds, Jenni Rivera, The Weepies, Elizaveta and Susan Justice. MOLLY GOES ON AT 3:50pm (stage C) and then I’ll be signing CDs at the Borders tent after my set.

be good.

BEAUTIFUL weather and beautiful PEOPLE
The weather was beautiful in Houston, TX today. I had a house concert and drove from Austin to Houston this morning. I am a big fan of cloudy, grey skies and warm temperatures (but not too warm) and today was exactly that! It made coming to Houston all that much more exciting. Plus my house concert tonight was SO FUN! What a wonderful group of people to play for and hang out with afterwards. Thanks everyone for making tonight such a fun one!

Hello again little blog. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other. I’ll rekindle our relationship slowly by showing you this picture of my front yard with a little happy snow covering it in a chilly blanket.

DEEP thoughts from my friend

steffaloo:

i used to throw up when i’d start to feel life too much.  i haven’t thrown up because of that in over a year.  i’ve either learned how to manage these feelings better, or i’ve just stopped feeling as much.  i’m afraid it’s the latter.  and i think i’d rather throw up and feel a lot than feel nothing and never throw up.

Tour has officially started! I’m opening for Works Progress Administration (Sean and Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek and Glen Phillips of Toad The Wet Sprocket) on their West Coast run of shows. This pic is from our show last night at Doug Fir in Portland.

My poster made the girls bathroom wall!!! I guess that’s better than my number making the wall.

More blogs coming soon.
