I am white. Fair skinned if you will.
This means that I try to stay out of the sun. Unfortunately, summer time in Southern California means HOT HOT HOT weather with LOTS of sun and that means I can’t wear leggings and jeans like I do the rest of the year.
So…instead of laying out and getting sun, I thought I’d try a spray tan. This way, I can avoid the sun AND the skin cancer but my legs won’t be too white to look at without sunglasses.
I was in LA a couple weeks ago with my friend Caitlin Crosby and she took me to Sunlounge Studio. I walked in and the guy at the front desk looked SO familiar! Always trying to connect with people, I said “Oh, we’ve met. How do I know you? Where have we met? I know we’ve met!” He did not remember ever meeting me but I knew we had met somewhere, so of course I continued on my rant.
Caitlin walked in a couple minutes after me and I asked her how I knew this guy behind the counter. Turns out he is Nick Spano from the Disney TV show “Even Stevens”. He played Donnie, the older brother. And the only way I know him is from watching that TV show. Wow, am I cool.
(Mental note: To avoid looking like an idiot, make sure the person is not an actor the next time you rave on and on about knowing them from somewhere.) Luckily, he was very sweet and didn’t freak out when I grabbed his hand out of excitement.
Once I calmed down a bit, he took me back to the spray tan studio and explained it all to me. There was a lot more turning and arm/feet placement to remember than a regular spray tan but I have to say it was THE BEST spray tan I have ever received! I will definitely be going back when it gets too hot for jeans and I have the money to spend on such things as pampering.

Okay okay okay, it’s not me. It is my head on Paris Hilton’s body but someday I’ll have a picture with Ellen. Someday. Although I probably won’t be wearing leather pants and a corset. But, you never know.
